Kellogg’s is making me ILL!!!!!!
I just cannot get over this. It just burns me up inside…
Kellogg’s new marketing campaign for Frosted Mini-Wheats is claiming to increase kids attentiveness by up to 20%. HELLO - does Kellogg’s think we are all stupid???
If you listen carefully to the commercial, it goes on to mention behind that claim that the study was on kids having a full breakfast. But if you aren’t paying attention, you won’t catch that.
This just makes me so ill… Using AD/HD as a marketing ploy. Because come on Kellogg’s, you know that’s what you’re really doing. You are using the fact that so many of us are becoming more aware of AD/HD to market a suger-filled unnatural cereal that will actually make our kids MORE HYPER and claiming it will make them pay better attention in class? I don’t think so! This is just so sick. If you go read the study from Kellogg’s, they got their results from offering the kids Frosted Mini Wheats or WATER! Hello, what kid wouldn’t do better with eating something vs. just having water!
Yes, I am livid. This is the kind of stuff that totally makes AD/HD look like a joke. How dare Kellogg’s encourage parents to feed their children a bowl of sugar in hopes of getting them to pay better attention. If Kellogg’s really believes that Frosted Mini Wheat’s improves a child’s attentiveness, then do a FAIR study. Compare their cereal against a breakfast of eggs, or waffles, or fruit, or even another type of cereal. That is real science.
Who can I write and complain about this? Obviously Kellogg’s. Who else? Who regulates advertising claims???
Here’s Kellogg’s “Study”. It’s a joke to even call that. Click Here.

By the way, there are other commercials that I consider even more direct than these by Kellogg’s, but I could not find them on their website right now.
Ohhh, I’m so mad… I haven’t been this mad in a long time at a company. Kellogg’s, I’m not buying any of your cereal until you get rid of this campaign, and we buy a lot of cereal! LOL
